Bullhead City, AZ – Note: The state has not yet released a letter grade for CRUHSD Academy.
The Arizona Department of Education defines highly performing schools as follows: "High performance on statewide assessment and/or significant student growth and/or higher four-year graduation rates and/or moving students to proficiency at a higher rate than the state average.”
Superintendent Remarks: "While we still have much work to accomplish to earn A ratings, it is important to stop and remember that just a few short years ago our schools were falling apart with "C" ratings and trending in the wrong direction. In the fall of 2022 we started replacing ineffective school administrators and teachers. We began working with law enforcement to fight back against the gang activity and the crime and drugs in our schools. We have invested and continue to invest in repairing our facilities, and our teachers have rallied around four collective commitments focused on Learning, Instruction, School Culture, and Student Safety. This week, both school's football teams and many of our student athletes from other sports will be competing at the state level. Today, we are winning in Athletics. We have an emerging new band at River Valley and the Mohave Band just finished 6th at Saturday's Divisional competition; we are winning in the Arts. These recent school labels show that we are winning in Academics too! Achievement for All!" -Dr. Richard
